Friends Forever!

Those are my friends. We hang out together during lunch, recess and dismissal time. We enjoy being together. My other best friend wasn't in that picture because she's the one who took that picture. That picture was taken during our practice for our Science Investigatory Project.

PLAY FESTIVAL

This is it. It is the time for us to present our play to other people. So, we all rushed to the St. Anne’s Hall to prepare for the play. We were the one who presented first. So, we were so scared and nervous. There were so many people inside the hall.

They were students from other schools who watched our play. Of course we were so proud of ourselves because not all schools have this kind of activity. So we were so lucky. It was a nice idea to invite other schools to watch our plays. So that they could also see what an Assumption girl could do. Like, an assumption girl could act in a male role very good and etc.

We really made our best to impress the audience especially the panel of judges. They were also amazed for what we did. The students in other schools were also amazed. So, we were so proud of ourselves because we made the audience impress. We did a great job.

WHILE WATCHING OTHER PLAYS

While I was watching the plays of the other sections, I was paying attention in to it. I was listening to the characters while they were delivering their lines, so that i could understand their story. There was a time that I compared the play of the other second year level to ours. I admitted that they were also good. They have good technical effects. They also showed cooperation and camaraderie to each other.

Even though we didn’t make it to the top, it was still okay to us. At least, we enjoyed and gave our very best to make our play successful. We didn’t blame anyone of our classmates for not making their part. We know that they also did their very best. But, it was just until there.

There was a time that we did some sort of noise. We were talking and etc. Because there were also some parts that are too boring. So, we just talk and talk until the boring part ended.

I was so happy when we watched the play of the other two sections. Our section was too lucky to watch the all the plays in the second year level. Other section haven’t watched our play presentation because they were too busy preparing for their make-ups putting on their clothes and doing some stuff to their hairs.

I enjoyed watching the plays of the high school learners. It was a great pleasure.

REHEARSALS

In our practices we were assigned in the last umbrella straight to our classroom. We practiced there until our classmates already mastered their lines. Some of my classmates were not attending our play practices. But, sometimes I’m also not attending our practices because I’m already too tired so instead of practicing I just went up in the dormitory to rest.

Sometimes I can’t take some pictures of my classmates while practicing because my schedule is so hectic. I still have my basic photography class. That is why I can’t attend our play practices.

Sometimes, while practicing we have some fun so that it would not be boring. We play some sort of a game. It was so fun having practices with my classmates especially when you were with your best friends. We also had our cooperation. In times of need, there is always one who’s willing to help to the one who’s in need. I was so happy when my classmates help one another. We did our very best to make our play a success.

In some cases, we can’t get rid sometimes that there will be absent in the play practices. It is so very hard if one of the characters were absent. So we really need a substitute. Good thing that our production manager is always there to help. She always substitute to the person who is absent in our practices. Even though she didn’t know the lines, the facial expressions and other stuff, she is still willing to substitute. It was so nice that our directress didn’t lose their temper to all of us. They hold their temper just not to scold us. Having play practices was really a very nice experience.

My insights about our play

In our play we all cooperated. That is why our play became successful. Not that really successful, but even though we didn’t win, it was still okay for us, because we believe that we have given our best and our play was good. Our bond with each other became strong. We are all happy about the results though we didn’t really get into the summit. For all of us we are still winners since we’ve learned a lot of things especially from our mistakes. We all appreciated the efforts that each one of us exerted.

Believing in ourselves is one key to success. I think we all believed in ourselves but maybe it wasn’t enough to reach the goal. We will just do better next time and give our best shot for our play to be even better.

Auditions for the play!

II.AUDITIONS

I did not audition in any of the roles in our play. I was too busy taking pictures of my classmates that are auditioning in the role that they wanted. I was the only one who took pictures because Dianne forgot to bring her camera, but it was okay. She helped me took pictures of our classmates because at that time I was so tired. My other classmates helped also in taking some pictures. They were all good in photography.

It was so hard taking pictures, because they were so many of them who auditioned. I took a rest first, and I let Dianne took a picture. She was so good also in taking pictures because we took a photography class here in school.

In my mind, I was thinking that it was so hard for the directress to choose the characters in the play. It was very difficult because all of my classmates who auditioned were excellent. They did their best to get the role they wanted to be.

The decision was fair, because they chose who really fits in a specific role. And we agreed about their decisions because it was also for the betterment of our class.

Preparation for the PLAY!

I. PREPARATION

At first I don’t want to be in documentation. My classmates forced me to do so, so I did because I have nothing else to do. I wasn’t that prepared as of my other classmates because I don’t know how to take a good picture. Good thing that the school proposed a special photography class in our school called Assumption Basic Photography Course.

I joined that class to know how to take a good shot. Luckily, the lessons that our teacher taught us got into my mind. So, I already knew how to take a better shot. Dianne and I were planning what to do in our play. We decided to divide the parts of the play so that it would be easy for us. I was assigned in the first part and Dianne in the second part. I was so excited about it.

We also planned for our scrapbook, if what would be its appearance and designs. We asked the opinions of our classmates about it. They suggested that it would be better to have a music box scrapbook. It is so hard to make a music box scrapbook out of papers or cartolinas, so we did not agree. Even though we did not come up in making that scrapbook that they suggested, they are still willing to help us in making the scrapbook.
